Some more hopefully fun facts about #Spain

2. Don Quixote, the famous book written by Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes in 1605 and is considered by many as the first modern novel 
3. Though Spain's history it has had many different groups in the country which has left their mark including, Roman's , Moors , the French To this day some Spanish places have names of Arabic origin including Almeria and Albox and of course Alicante . As Al denotes this.
4. in regards the above fact , Spain is home to many Roman ruins 
5. The Spanish main Railway gauge is inmost part different to the rest of Europe ​
6. Spain is home as I am sure you know many Golf course but did you know it also has many Ski resorts for example sierra nevada or near Jaca 
7. There is no Tooth Fairy in Spain that job is taken on by a mouse called Ratoncito Pérez (the Tooth mouse ) he can be found in many if not all Spanish speaking countries 
8. The Spanish national Anthem Marcha Real is only 1 of 4 in the world with no words 
9. Many films and westerns have been filmed either in part or fully  in Spain including many a western in the Tabernas Desert in the Almeria province films such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) ...
10. Spanish children don't send their present wish list to Santa but instead to one of the 3 kings 
11. And talking of the 3 kings traditionally Spanish children don't get their Christmas presents until 3 kings day the 6th January 
12. There is an Island near Irun Spain (in a river) that spends 6 months a year as a Spanish Island and 6 months as a French Island 
13. There is no April fools day in Spain well that is not 100% correct instead it happens in December  and is 28th December with the Día de los Santos Inocentes.(the day of the innocents )
