when it comes to moving house/home there is no denying it can be stressful , so why would you want to increase that stress and self move ?
Are there any advantages of self moving ? Well in my professional opinion no there are not and your better off letting a professional mover do your move for you ,but i hear you saying , oh but as a removals company your bound to say that , which is true but it does not change the fact, we think your better off letting a professional mover do it for you , lets explore why that is the case 1 experience A good removals team do house moves all the time (and yes while no two properties are the same) and that experience builds up , a mover , will for example though that experience know how to lift and handle more awkward or heavy items , safely and effectively, And have the experience and knowledge how to get things though tricky spots Plus ever noticed a removals person walking backwards while carrying large items ? Well when carrying many 2 person objects a person will need to be walking backwards and that is a skill in its own right , one thing you may have also noticed when watching movers at work is how often they can do a two person lift and carry the item straight to the removals vehicle when you would/might have had to put it down several times yes some time movers also need to do that ) I could go on about Experience for hours but I think you get the point , the fact a professional mover is doing this all the time is one of the key benefits, Experience breeds expertise (I will discuss the others in follow on pieces so that I can explore them in detail without this becoming to long)

So we are into the 6th Month of 2021 here are a few of our stats for the year
so tomorrow the 10th June is our Lynne's Birthday (in my case Ashley Mum (and in Paul's case his wife)
So here is the written version of the Q&A I did on Wednesday on our Youtube channel to mark our 1st year as a limited company
How long have we been doing removals? We where founded in Hull UK in 2012 , so that means we are now into our 9th Year , we rebranded in 2017 from Clark trading and logistics Why did we rebrand to ERS We rebranded to European relocation services in 2017 to better reflect the companies direction as we had relocated to Spain as our base of operations and started covering Spain -UK-Spain as our main operations route rather than domestic in the UK When did you go Limited? We went limited as ERS removal services Ltd on the 12th May 2020 What International routes do you cover ? We cover Spain-UK-Spain As well as various other routes to and From Spain Like Spain -France we Have also and do also do loads from Spain to Ireland And cover a wide range of European countries from Spain And yes we do cover places like Spain -Germany which we have done as few times in fact Spain -Portugal etc What was the highest you have ever unloaded at on a house move? That would be in the swiss alps at around 1500m -1600metres up (about a mile) in the winter we did a house move there from London for a customer What ports have you travelled though ? If my count is right it is now about 15 ports Well among others Dover -Calais -Dunkirk Newhaven-Dieppe Barcelona to Palma Majorca We have also collected from Grimsby docks Boston and Immingham docks Ever travelled though the channel tunnel? Yes on two occasions when we did a load from Hull to Paris Ever done any Islands (excluding the UK mainland) yes we have , we have done 2 loads from Wigan for Example to Majorca And 2 loads to Ireland via the UK (where we put them on pallets and then they where shipped over via pallet network company Do you cover the Canary islands ? No due to the very expensive ferries this is one route we don't send the van on Have you ever done any loads to or from Africa ? giving how close you are to a few ports that ship there? No we haven't , we have been asked to quote on one to there Morocco before but the customer decided to stay in Spain in the end What is the Furthest north you have been? Inverness What is the furthest you have delivered a car? Our longest distance car delivery to date is a Vw from Baza Spain to Guildford UK at 1370 miles Is it still possible to #MovetoSpain since #Brexit?
Yes it is still possible and many people have already in 2021 made #Spain their home Yes there is more Paperwork to do now Including Customs clearance for your goods (which we arrange and sort as part of our service) But yes it is still possible to move to Spain from the UK So as you may well be aware all loads that enter or leave Spain for the UK must go though a Customs facility
which 1 can cause delays of course as we have to wait there for Clearance before re hitting the load But 2 please be advised that at the current time this places are in Spain not 24/7 and shut around 6pm And are in only a few places open Saturday but that is for limited hours As a result this effects our schedule as we have to ensure we don't cross the Spanish boarder on the weekends (or if we do we will have to sit waiting until Monday morning ) Which of course means .We have to ensure the schedule reflects this *So another thing to note is that each time a load (in your case your items /belongs ) cross the boarder (as in Imported to Spain) they need customs clearance which of course means if you send say 3 loads they need each a set of clearance and each time there is fees to the customs brokers , so for example if you send a 2nd load with us the customs broker fees need paying again they are not a one of sum/figure but each time |
